Role within the project:
UNIGRAZ is the coordinator of this project and also will develop several
bio-inspired autonomous and
semi-autonomous swarm control algorithms that will be used in the
scenarios that are the focus of SubCULTron.
In the Runtime of the Project we will mainly focus on the development of
programs and algorithms for individual agents. We will then study the be-
haviours of the Robots in large and heterogeneous groups and allow these
individual agents to evolve novel variants or novel mixtures of evolved
programs in those groups.
General Topics of our work are:
– Generalised models of neuro-genetic interactions.
– General bio-inspired behaviours.
– Collective coordination & decision-making
– Evolutionary adaptation of motion & communication.
