CORILA: Consortium for coordination of research activities concerning the Venice lagoon system

CORILA is a consortium consisting of the two Universities of Venice (Ca’Foscari and

IUAV), the University of Padua, the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) and the

Italian National Institute of Oceanography (OGS). CORILA promotes and carries out

multidisciplinary research activities mainly related to coastal and marine areas, with

particular attention being placed on the Venice Lagoon and historical cities. Its main

objective in subCULTron is related to the demonstration of the artificial swarm in the real

aquatic word. CORILA will involve the specific competence to fine tune the requirements

of the artificial robot needed to investigate one of the most complex natural marine

environmental laboratory of the world.

CORILA will support also the dissemination of the project activities and results, starting

with the EXPO2015 events, that is having in Venice an exposition dedicated to the Water

theme (May­October 2015).
